Bible Study Tip #5

Bible Study Tip

Reading the Bible is essential to the growth of a Christian. But some may have problems pronouncing certain words like names and places in the Bible, especially in the King James Version. This can be frustrating and may even hinder some people from reading the Bible. But there’s a great website and app that can help.

Bible. Is (http://www.bible.is) is a great website and app and they’re free! I personally use the app on my iPhone sometimes during my personal devotional time which of course includes reading the Bible. You can choose to listen to the Bible in at least two different ways, one with just a single voice and one with multiple voices and music/sound effects which is almost like listening to a movie which really brings it alive. I personally use the second option and it has really enhanced my Bible reading time.

This app has also helped me tremendously in learning how to pronounce the more difficult words in the Bible. Hearing someone else pronounce the words as I follow along in my Bible has been a great benefit to me.

The website also has a feature called “Deaf Bible” where an individual can either just read the Bible or watch a video with someone doing sign language.

Bible. Is can also be found on iTunes as a radio stream in hundreds of languages!

Personally, I stick with the app on my iPhone and it’s great. Check it out and see if it will help you with reading your Bible.

*Note: We are not being paid for advertising this site/app. We just like it and thought it would help others. And did I mention that it’s free!

“Remember to read your BIBLE,

accept the TRUTH,

and be a LIGHT in this dark world.”
